The fault
How you spot it
The reports mention recurring electrical door faults above 20,000 km: the central locking does not open or close every door, the window regulator does not respond first time, or the rear windows still move the front ones after the touch switch has been toggled. The symptom is often intermittent: it typically appears in the cold and on the first start.
This is rarely a loss of value. But an intermittent fault will most likely not appear on the test drive. That is why you have to ask about it specifically and look for it in the service book, rather than waiting for it to show itself.

How we know
Information, not an expert opinion
We write the descriptions, and we put the source next to them. A person reviews them before they go out. They are still information, not a technical expert opinion.
- A fault on the list does not mean the car you are looking at has it.
- A fault missing from the list does not mean the model is fault-free. Write-ups are made model by model. Not all of them are done.
- You decide whether to buy. This is no substitute for an inspection. That needs a workshop and a history check.
