The gearbox is relatively new, so there is still little data on its failures. The weak point known so far is the front input shaft bearing.

Beyond that the first-gear synchro can wear quickly. The oil level is worth watching, because the gearbox holds little oil, so even a small leak soon brings the level to a critical point. The versions come with a dual-mass flywheel, which is not the most durable part.
What to check
- At a steady speed, listen for noise: a worn input shaft bearing drones
- While rolling slowly, change down into first: grating means a worn synchro
- Look at the gearbox housing from underneath: it holds little oil, so a leak turns critical fast
