Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2025 Audi E-Tron GT vehicles. A retaining ring on top of the suspension strut may come loose, resulting in a dislodged strut and air loss from the strut spring.

Risk: An air suspension strut failure may cause a loss of vehicle handling and control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the air suspension struts as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 16, 2025. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 40LF.

A manufacturing defect in the air suspension system may lead to a drop in the vehicle's level on one side. This can cause limited functioning of the suspension strut and can affect the driving dynamics, increasing the risk of an accident. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
